The other week Harry, Finley and I went to Zilker Park to ride the train.
Finley wasn't really into taking a nice picture before we set off.Under the bridge was probably the best part.
Finley spent almost the entire 1st half of the ride playing with my shoes, which are usually out of her reach. But by the time we turned around she was very excitedly waving at people we had already passed [her timing needs work!]
We of course made one stop at the fire truck playset. ;)

We saw a fox! And a duck. A deer. We liked it.
-Harry
We went to the Austin Nature and Science center yesterday. Sadly, most of the animals were not in their cages (taking a bath? I have no idea). But the recent rain apparently brought out all the loose lizards because they were EVERYWHERE! I really love lizards, so you'll have to forgive the many pictures of them. Heh. I then proceeded to forget that I had brought my camera so I didn't get a picture of the fox, bunny, mallards or any of the birds of prey (my favorite).
The deer we saw was not actually part of the science center; we saw it in someone's yard when I took the "I'm lost" way to the entrance. Anyway, enjoy the pics!

Sorry we haven't posted lately! I lost the cord for my camera for a while and there were a few days where I didn't feel well so we didn't do much.
So here is what you missed that we did since the Austin Children's Museum:
- Harry sewed a pillow (almost) all by himself.
- We made minecraft magnets!
- We saw Rio and ParaNorman at the $1 movies at Regal Cinema.
- We watched Spirited Away on DVD because I forgot to bring the sewing stuff yesterday (my bad).
- We did some painting, but I missed taking pictures at the time.
- We've had two more swim days.
- We went to the Austin Museum of Art at Lagoona Gloria, which was a disappointment. There were about 6 photos on display and 2 or 3 sculptures and that was it. Glad we went on a free day! The grounds were very pretty though and we got to see the peacock the keep there and spotted a lizard on a tree.
Harry is doing his "school" work right now, but in a little while we are going to continue our stuffed kitty project and do a dancing raisins experiment. I'll try to get photos this time!
